DDV will also be organizing a lot of fun Open Day tournaments again this year. Benefits of participating in the DDV Day Tournaments are:

• It's a super fun tournament! When you're not on court, you can enjoy the atmosphere, great tennis and the terrace.
• You will be scheduled in a playing category of 3 or 4 opponents, so you are guaranteed to play 2 matches.
• You only have to keep 1 day free for a Day Tournament instead of a whole week. On average, a day tournament only takes up part of your day! (Although you must be available that same day for any changes in the playing schedule).
• It is a KNLTB Rating tournament, so if you want to work on your rating, you can make big steps with 2 matches in one day.
• You can even win a prize if you don't win your category...!!!

This year we have also planned a number of Day Tournaments on catch-up days of the competition. If competition has to be caught up, this will take precedence over the tournament. We organize both Doubles-only tournaments and Singles & Doubles tournaments in the categories 17+ and 50+.

In case of over-registration we will draw lots, and the Double & Mix registrations will be given priority over the Singles registrations. So if you want to have the best chance of playing, participate in the Double or the Mix category.

In principle, everyone is divided in such a way that they play 2 matches at the Day Tournament. If this is not possible, due to dropouts/injuries or because there are insufficient registrations that are within 1 point of your level, you will play 1 match and you will only be charged half of the registration fee.
